Hey there!
I’m Peter van Zeist, a Senior Manager of International Solutions Consulting for EMEA and APAC, with more than 20 years in technical presales and solutions engineering across SaaS, cloud, and enterprise software. My job sits at the intersection of technology, business, and people: helping companies solve real problems with the right software, while building and leading high-performing Solutions Consulting teams across regions and cultures.
My career has taken me through companies including LastPass, LogMeIn, GoTo, Citrix, and Netviewer, and across plenty of evolving tech categories along the way. I started out in hands-on technical roles, from hardware and software support to web development, before moving deeper into presales, product, customer strategy, and leadership. In other words: I’ve been around long enough to remember when remote meetings and enterprise file sharing still felt futuristic.
These days, my main focus is IT security, especially identity, password, and access-related topics for business customers. Over the years, I’ve supported multiple projects and strategic customer engagements with large, well renowned and well known organisations across the entire EMEA region. I’ve also had the chance to contribute to major enterprise wins, speak at events, run webinars and trainings, and pick up a few awards along the way, including multiple Presidents Club recognitions. That said, I still believe the best part of the job is much simpler: understanding what people actually need and helping them get there.
Outside of work, I care a lot about sustainability and practical technology. I’m a passionate scuba diver and have seen firsthand how fragile marine ecosystems can be. That experience shaped a lot of how I think about environmental responsibility in everyday life. At home, we try to make thoughtful choices, from electric driving and public transport to green electricity and solar power. If diving is your thing too, you can find more of that side of me over on my German dive blog, BlogBu.ch.
I’m also a bit of a smart home and home automation enthusiast. Since buying a house in 2020, I’ve spent far too much time happily tinkering with connected devices, energy-saving ideas, and anything that makes a home a little smarter and a little more efficient. Some people relax with gardening. I automate pool pumps and lights.
More broadly, I’m curious by nature. I enjoy writing, building websites, exploring new developments in science and technology, and understanding how things work. When I’m not working, diving, or deep in some home tech project, you’ll usually find me following motorsport, whether that’s Formula 1, Formula E, GT racing, endurance, or rally, or racing electric RC cars for the fun of it.
At home, I’m a proud dad, and husband. As a family, we love to travel, discover new places, and collect good stories and great podcasts along the way.
