I’m Peter van Zeist, a Principal Solutions Consultant, Technical Presales Expert, Systems Engineer, and Senior Manager of a team of Solutions Consultants spanning over EMEA and APAC. With over 21 years of experience in the dynamic realms of SaaS and Cloud, I’m here to bridge the gap between your business conundrums and the software solutions that can propel your success.
My tech journey started with online meetings, remote support, and enterprise file sharing – back when those things were still new and exciting. Before that, I built websites (front- and backend) and did hands-on hardware and software support. These days, I focus on IT security, mainly Secure Browsing, Password and Identity Management for business clients and lead a team of Solutions Consultants.
Over the years, I’ve helped bring cloud and hybrid software into some of the biggest companies in Europe. It’s given me a good mix of customer insight, problem-solving skills, and project management know-how.
Outside of work, I care deeply about the environment. I’m a passionate scuba diver and have seen the impact of reef damage and climate change up close. That’s why I try to make eco-friendly choices in daily life – we drive electric, use public transport, power our home and home office with green energy, and installed solar panels on the roof. Since buying a home in 2020, I’ve gotten into smart home tech and energy-saving upgrades. It’s fun, and it really helps cut down our energy use – something I’ll also write about here from time to time.
I’m always curious about what’s next in science and technology, love tinkering with websites, and enjoy writing about the things that interest me. When I’m not working or diving into a tech project, you’ll find me watching motorsports (F1, Formula E, GT, Rally, Endurance – all of it!) or racing electric RC cars just for the thrill of it.
At home, I’m a proud dad to a 9-year-old daughter, husband to a wonderful wife, and we share our life with a lovable 18-year-old cat. As a family, we love traveling and discovering new podcasts along the way.
