Every now and then, a house needs a proper spring clean. Not just dusting the windowsills or reorganizing the kitchen drawer (you know the one), but the real kind — where you take a hard look at what you’ve collected over the years, what still brings value, and what just doesn’t fit anymore.
That’s exactly what I’ve just done with this blog.
After a couple of years of gently shifting gears – most notably switching to English as the main language – it was time for a full refresh. The kind that goes beyond rearranging furniture and into knocking down a few walls and putting up some fresh wallpaper.
Lighter, Faster, Better
The biggest change is the theme. I’ve swapped the old, heavier layout for a lighter, modern, and reactive WordPress theme. It feels a bit like replacing thick velvet curtains with airy linen ones – same windows, better light. The new theme loads faster, adapts beautifully to any screen, and just feels more in tune with how we read and browse today.
I also took a broom to the backend. Categories have been cleaned up, the overall navigation simplified, and the UI now reflects the kind of space I want to invite readers into: uncluttered, focused, and easy to explore.
A Home That Speaks Your Language
The language switch to English has been a gradual move over the past two years – like repainting one room at a time. It’s opened doors to a wider audience and helped connect with readers beyond my usual neighborhood. This redesign is the natural next step: a house that looks like it belongs to the people living in it.
Numbers Are Up — And Not Just on the Thermostat
Let’s talk stats for a second. After a bit of a slump in the post-COVID years (understandable — the internet felt crowded with noise), 2025 is shaping up to be the comeback year. As of August, the blog has already surpassed last year’s total visitor numbers. That’s not just encouraging – it’s energizing.
It’s also proof that regular posting on topics that matter to me (and hopefully to you) is paying off. Whether it’s tech, diving, smart home experiments, or thoughtful reflections, the goal has always been the same: share something useful, honest, and a little bit personal.
What’s Next?
Like any good renovation project, there’s always more to do. A few finishing touches here and there, maybe another room to tackle. But for now, I’m enjoying the new space – and excited to see what the rest of 2025 brings.
Thanks for stopping by. Kick off your shoes, stay a while, and as always: let me know what you think. This place might have a new look, but it’s still a work in progress – and that’s exactly how I like it.
